How to Search for Customers

TRANSCRIPT

Hello, and welcome to this Grubhub dashboard walkthrough. In this video, we’ll show you how to search for customers from within the dashboard.

When looking to view individual customer data or perform administrative actions for customers such as granting progress, issuing credits, or refunding specific orders, you must first search and find the customer profile you’d like to view.

To do so, click the Customers tab on the left-hand panel to be brought to the Customers search page. At the top of the page you will see all of the possible search criteria, which is based on information that the customer has entered into their account. You can search by First name, Last name, Email, Phone number, or a combination of these four criteria.

The criteria you use will determine how many results you receive at the bottom of the page. For instance, if you searched for a common first name only, you may yield many results. When searching for a specific guest it is recommended that you search by the email associated with their account. This way it’ll ensure that the search result will produce the specific customer you’re looking for.

Once you’ve entered in the search criteria, click Filter & sort customers. The results in the “Customers” section at the bottom of the page will update automatically. If, for some reason you don’t yield any results, please double check the spelling and accuracy of your search criteria.

Once you’ve found the customer you’d like to view, click the hyperlink associated with their name to visit their customer profile page.
